(Senior) Risk Officer - Private Wealth

KR Recruitment Luxembourg is delighted to be recruiting this (Senior) Risk Officer  role for a leading international Asset managing group (mainly priavte wealth).  Working at their international HQ in Luxembourg you will work alongside the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer and be involved in all elements of Risk.  You will be mentored and receive excellent training in this flat structure.  In this broad and chellenging role you will be given a great deal of autonomy and responsibility - this will help you develop in to a well rounded Senio Risk Officer


The Role:

·     Monitoring of the Risk Management Framework, as well as analyzing risk exposures daily and report to the Head of Risk & Compliance;

·     Develop and ensure that all risks are well captured by the risk management systems and models;

·     Preparation of materials for and participation in monthly Risk Management Meetings;

·     Preparation of reporting to senior management;

·     Develop and maintain Risk Management Frameworks, as appropriate for Luxembourg legal frame;

·     Support, develop and challenge senior management on Risk impacts of strategic vision and tactical solutions;

·     Assist and support of the Risk Strategy implementing the Risk Policies and procedures in coordination with Group directive;

·     Act as a point of escalation on all Operational and company related risk matters – this may require being part of internal or external working groups;

·     Train internal staff on Risk impacts and policy; make sure policy, publications and training material are updated and disseminated appropriately;

·     Contribute in the risk assessment processes by performing efficiency tests;

·     Work to identify, document, and escalate all issues to management members;



The Person:

·     University Degree within a business related subject is preferred or equivalent professional experience;

·     2-6 years working in Risk Management;

·     Operational and/or risk Management, corporate governance, policy writing, internal controls experience required;

·     Good understanding of the regulatory landscape;

·     Good understanding of asset management activities and processes, systems and architecture;

·     Able to build strong relationships and interface with senior levels of the business;

·     Excellent communication, negotiation and persuasive skills;

·     Fluency in English (both verbal and writing) is essential
