Sales Director (m/f)

Fluent in English, German and French


Your main mission:

  • You will join a global leader and ensure the coordination of the different sales activities of the group. You will also be close to the production sites and ensure good workflow communication between the sales activities and the production side of the business.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Managing, guiding and motivating the Sales team in different European countries: 20 people.  (Sales managers, sales executives and back office staff)
  • Increasing the presence of company products geographically by:

                            -  Managing existing major key accounts.

  -  Identifying and gaining new customers.

                            -  Defining relevant sales objectives.

                            -  Negotiating and concluding agreements.

  - Maintaining good customer support and communication including: technical support, training, and coaching.

  -  Delegating and allocating “developed” customers/businesses to the corresponding sales divisions / back and front offices.

  • Sharing important information and analysis internally regarding sales situations, market developments, and trends with customers and competitors.
  • Supporting the marketing communications manager to ensure the improvement of company image and positioning.
  • Definition of a pricing strategy for the different product families and geographical regions.


Your qualifications & experiences:


  • You have a minimum 15 to 20 years of experience in sales with home improvement hypermarkets and large do-it-yourself stores.
  • You have at least 10 years of experience in people management.
  • You are experienced in dealing with high volume contracts, and with central purchasing.
  • You are fluent in English, French and German (written and spoken communication as well as in reading). Fluency in Dutch would be a big asset.
  • You have knowledge of international sales and logistics and a good understanding of international management practices.
  • You can manage a team composed of sales managers, business development managers customer service representatives and salesmen.
  • You are willing to travel, around 30 % of your time across Europe.
