Our client, an Insurance company, is looking for an ambitious Accountant to assist them with their internal Accounting and Corporate Administration.

This is an all-encompassing role, which involve a lot of autonomy

Your Responsibilities

• Be in charge of the invoices’ approval processes
• Arranging for the payment of the company and subsidiary invoices after the required approvals have been obtained and checking their accurate execution
• Reconciliation of the invoices tracker with supplier ledger
• Preparation of actual cash book on a daily basis as well as forecasted cash book including all invoices in approval or payment process (including daily reconciliation of forecasted cash book with bank statements)
• Assist in the implementation of the company’s policies and process for effective management of operations
• Assist in maintaining and continuously improving the invoice approval and payment approval’s procedures
• Ensure internal controls are operating effectively and are properly documented
• Coordinate and work with other departments of the Company for the overall efficiency of the finance function
• Liaise with internal and external auditors
• Providing administrative assistance to the Finance Department
• Other ad hoc tasks as required


Your Profile 

• Previous experience (3-5 years) in Luxembourg working in an Insurance company, a Holding Company or Service Provider 
• Experience in invoices’ approval process, payments and/or internal control would be considered as an asset
• Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail, conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work
• Excellent organizational skills
• Good command of Microsoft Office tools, particularly in Excel
• Good communication skills, with fluency in English essential. Spanish or French would also be highly desired
• Proactive team player with the ability to work independently to tight deadlines and complete set tasks while managing multiple priorities
• Ability to work in small teams with capability to run projects with direct supervision
