KR Recruitment is delighted to be exclusively recruiting this Senior compliance role – Compliance Manager / Head of Compliance – for leading global banking group at their Luxembourg operation

You will be responsible for the management of the Luxembourg Compliance team and be a trusted advisor to the business lines.  You will ensure that business is conforming with all applicable laws, regulations and internal procedures as well as keeping abreast of new products, technologies, and their applications and implications for the assigned area.  You will also recommend and execute business plans for the compliance function

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver Compliance Policy, Process and Documentation
  • Perform oversight of the review of customer complaints and inquires, monitor employee disclosures regarding personal trading, outside business activities, etc. and requests for information from regulators
  • Compliance Advice: Issue Identification / Escalation and Business Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop, recommend, and/or execute business plans for your area of responsibility. Identify regulatory issues which may impact local business
  • Compliance Problem Resolution: Independently identify and resolve problems following established guidelines, accounting for internal guidelines as well as outside regulatory requirements. Proactively identify trends in recurring compliance violations and inquiries and collaborate with other team members to improve compliance procedures and processes, training materials and forms
  • Compliance Team Supervision, Training, Management and Business Training: provide coaching, development and guidance to the team. Ensure effective communication of the firm’s strategy and goals
  • Compliance monitoring: Work with team members to ensure that compliance monitoring program remains on track and relevant compliance processes have been appropriately documented

Qualifications:

  • You will hold a senior compliance advisory role within Big 4 (Director level) or within a bank in Luxembourg
  • You will have expert knowledge of the legal / compliance framework of Luxembourg Banking
  • Strong knowledge of the financial services industry and current regulatory requirements as they relate to securities industry, especially Alternatives Funds, related support function including transfer agency and depositary services
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, rules and standards including AML/KYC Data Protection, Outsourcing and Cloud laws and regulations
  • Strong financial, business and strategic acumen
  • Proven ability to develop innovative solutions to business issues
  • Be able to manage a develop a team (4 people)
